The Process
Wendy’s Commissioned Art process is both customized and convenient, regardless of your location. The entire collaboration may be done online and the steps to begin are outlined below:
- Select your preferred canvas and medium.
Prices vary based on your selection.
Canvas options include: premium European, wood-free fine artistry paper and 100% pure, triple-primed linen canvas.
Medium options include: mixed media, oil paints, and acrylic paints. Wendy Buiter mixed media artworks are always handcrafted on fine artistry paper; linen canvases accommodate your choice of oil or acrylic paints.

- Choose the colors and appearance of your bespoke artwork, including eye color, hairstyle and length, earrings, and background.

Each artwork features a sophisticated modern woman, painted in non-realistic elegance, from the shoulders up. Commissioned Artworks enable the customization of the female muse, her hairstyle, makeup, jewelry, and background.
Framing: All Commissioned Artworks are shipped flat, without a frame; framing options are available upon request. You may also request to have your Commissioned work shipped in a protective tube directly to a professional framer in your area.
Production Time: Production times vary depending on your timeline and Wendy’s schedule.
Due to the skill and precision necessary to perfect each artwork, as well as the time required for paint to dry, Commissioned Art masterpieces may take months to create, and are prioritized once the order has been paid in full. Due to high-demand, you may encounter a waiting list. Please inform us if you have a specific completion date request.
Delivery Information: Priority international shipping. Additional shipping fees may apply for larger artworks.
