A meaningful collaboration begins with mutual commitment

Exhibition & Venue Collaborations

Wendy Buiter is regularly approached by brands, businesses, hotels, salons, galleries and other venues interested in exhibiting her work or connecting their name to her artistic world. She welcomes proposals that are thoughtfully conceived, professionally organised and aligned with the positioning of her work.

Presenting original art adds cultural value, atmosphere and distinction to a location. It gives a business access to Wendy’s work, name, audience and artistic identity. In return, there must be a clear and meaningful contribution from the collaborating party.

A genuine collaboration is based on reciprocity — and begins with a written agreement.

Wendy’s work may be made available for temporary display in carefully selected venues, including:

  • Luxury hotels and hospitality concepts
  • High-end beauty and fashion locations
  • Interior and design destinations
  • Corporate environments
  • Galleries and curated exhibition spaces
  • Cultural events and private presentations

Each proposal is assessed individually. A beautiful interior or prestigious address can be relevant, but is not sufficient on its own.

Before accepting an exhibition proposal, several aspects are considered:

  • The venue’s positioning and reputation
  • The profile of its clientele
  • Visitor numbers and opening hours
  • The context in which the artworks will be presented
  • The duration and visibility of the presentation
  • Security, insurance and responsibility for the works
  • Transport, installation and collection
  • The handling of enquiries and potential sales
  • The proposed financial or promotional contribution

Promotion Is Part of the Partnership

When promotion forms part of the exchange, it must be specific, active and agreed in advance.

This may include:

  • Dedicated social media posts and stories
  • Inclusion in newsletters or client mailings
  • A feature on the venue’s website
  • Professional photography or video content
  • Press outreach
  • A hosted collector event or private viewing
  • Visible artist and artwork information at the location
  • Direct introductions to relevant clients, collectors or partners

General promises of “exposure” are not considered a sufficient contribution. Promotional commitments must be concrete, appropriate to the value of the collaboration and, where possible, measurable.

The Agreement

Before any artwork is delivered or installed, the collaboration is recorded in writing. Depending on the nature of the project, the agreement may define:

  • The selected artworks
  • The location and duration of the presentation
  • Exhibition, rental or participation fees
  • Sales commission and payment arrangements
  • Transport and installation responsibilities
  • Insurance, security and liability
  • Agreed promotional activities and publication dates
  • Use of Wendy’s name, images and artwork
  • Exclusivity, if applicable
  • Collection or return of the artworks
  • Cancellation and termination conditions

Any reproduction or commercial use of an artwork — including use on invitations, packaging, products, prints, campaigns or other branded materials — requires a separate licensing agreement and licensing fee.

Brand Partnerships & Creative Projects

Wendy is also open to selected partnerships beyond exhibitions, including:

  • Art and fashion collaborations
  • Beauty and lifestyle campaigns
  • Capsule collections
  • Hospitality and interior projects
  • Editorial commissions
  • Product collaborations
  • Cultural partnerships
  • Co-branded events and experiences

These projects are developed around artistic alignment, creative integrity and mutual value. Wendy retains final approval over how her artwork, name and visual identity are presented.

Submit a Proposal

Businesses and organisations interested in working with Wendy are invited to submit a clear initial proposal.

Please include:

  • Your company, venue or organisation
  • Website and social media channels
  • Location and target audience
  • The nature and purpose of the collaboration
  • The requested artworks or involvement
  • Proposed dates and duration
  • Your promotional plan
  • Available budget or proposed exchange
  • Any intended commercial or image use

Proposals are reviewed selectively. Sending a proposal does not guarantee acceptance.

A collaboration should create value for both parties — professionally, visibly and contractually.
