A new exclusive collection from Wendy Buiter inspired by (piano) music.
The Musique Collection
Welcome to the Musique Collection by Wendy, a series of paintings inspired by the joy and inspiration of music. The first piece in the collection, “Where is my Mind,” is named after the beautiful composition by French pianist Maxence Cyrin. In this self-portrait, Wendy captures the feeling lost in the music as she studies this piece. Curious? You can listen to Where is my mind here.
The second piece in the collection, “Muse-Ique,” features a muse adorned with piano keys and sheet music elements from the composition “Where is my Mind.” The muse represents the source of artistic inspiration, and the name of this piece is a nod to the collection’s theme of music.
The third piece in the Musique Collection is called “Mood of the Melody,” featuring a muse with unique earrings representing a G-key and an eighth note. This painting captures the emotional impact of music, as the mood of a melody can change and influence our own emotions.
“Pianissimo”, the fourth piece from Wendy Buiter’s Musique Series, features a mesmerizing female muse adorned with grand piano-shaped earrings. The title itself is derived from the musical term “pianissimo”, which means “very quietly”. It’s evident from the painting that Wendy has perfectly captured the subtlety and nuance of this term.
The muse’s long, flowing black hair and tranquil expression instill a deep sense of serenity and calm in the beholder. It beckons the viewer to immerse themselves in the peace and tranquility exuded by the painting. But, there’s more to this artwork than what meets the eye. As you deeply gaze upon the painting, try spotting an intriguing detail: one of the earrings -grand piano- isn’t quite right. It’s mirrored, adding a layer of mystery and allure to this already enchanting piece.
Through these artworks, Wendy invites you to explore the beauty and inspiration of music. These paintings offer a daily reminder of the connection and joy that music can bring. Hang these artworks in your home as a celebration of the artistic and emotional impact of music.
The artworks are all signed by the artist and come with a certificate of authenticity.
