How to commission a bespoke painting that reflects your style

Commissioning a painting should be an experience, not a transaction. As a experienced Dutch contemporary artist, I design every piece to fit you: your story, your walls, your lifestyle.

First, we start with a conversation. I ask: What mood does your room hold? What feelings do you wish to evoke? That’s how custom size painting begins, not with dimensions, but with intention.

If your living space features a high ceiling, a large scale original painting may be the perfect focal point. I travel internationally (on request, with additional fees) to visit your home, study the light, and sense the atmosphere, so that the final artwork doesn’t just fit the wall, but completes the room.

From sketches to colour palettes, I then develop a bespoke concept that echoes your aesthetic. Do you lean toward soft femininity or bold femininity? Do you want a portrait, an abstracted face, or a symbolic narrative? Each brushstroke is purposeful.

The result is not a generic canvas, it’s a curated original, designed to harmonise with your interior, celebrate your identity, and become part of your story.
