Today, I had the pleasure of hosting a private art class for Ilse, a remarkable woman who has spent many years as an executive secretary and management assistant. Despite her busy office life, Ilse has always nurtured a creative side, and in her free time, she enjoys painting, sculpting, and crafting. Her passion for creativity has even led her to travel to different locations to explore various artistic courses, and I was thrilled when she decided to join me for her own private art class.

Ilse has been following my art on Instagram for over a year, and she was eager to create a painting in my style. From the moment she booked her class, she was already buzzing with excitement, especially when I sent her the creative assignment to start thinking about what she wanted to create. After careful consideration, narrowing down her options, she finally chose to recreate Paris—a piece she truly connected with.

Together, we made Ilse’s version of Paris come to life. While we stayed true to the essence of the original, Ilse added her own twist. For instance, one earring on the muse features the Eiffel Tower, while the other displays the Notre-Dame. In my original painting, I used the Sacré-Cœur, but Ilse’s choice added a personal touch that made her artwork unique.

Throughout the day, I guided Ilse closely as she brought her vision to the canvas. Once her masterpiece was complete, we fixed it with a spray, practiced her signature, and added a certificate of authenticity on the back. Ilse left with her beautiful painting in hand, and she plans to take it to a framer to have it displayed proudly.

It was a wonderfully fulfilling day for both of us, and Ilse expressed how much she loved the experience. Seeing her joy and pride in what she created reminded me of why I love teaching and sharing the creative process. It was a day filled with inspiration, and I’m excited to see where Ilse’s artistic journey takes her next!
